New Gen Phenomenal Actress
Belle Mariano is a familiar face in showbiz; after all, she started as a child star at nine, as she already knows early on that she wants to be an actress. After convincing her parents to bring her to countless auditions and go sees, she finally landed a Bear Brand commercial. Her first TV program was Lorenzo’s Time opposite Zajian Jaranilla. Belle played the young Carmina Villaroel and later on took on being her daughter, as well. Viewers were surprised to see this cute little girl who is a dead ringer for Carmina. Soon, she joined the cast of Goin’ Bulilit, a kiddy gag show. Even from the very start, Belle has proven her versatility at a young age as she fits in to drama and comedy. Throughout the years, she has juggled school and acting as she continued to be cast as the young version of lead characters or the kid of the leads in both movies and teleseryes. She literally grew up right before our eyes and worked with a lot of seasoned and award-winning actors and actresses in projects like Ang Probinsyano, Ipaglaban Mo, and Maalalaala Mo Kaya, among others.
Launched as part of Star Magic Circle 2019, her career was somewhat stalled by the pandemic as the whole world was on a standstill, but the movie where she was among the main cast, “Four Sisters Before the Wedding” was a big hit in the latter part of 2020. But the biggest breakthrough was her being cast in “He’s Into Her” as the spunky lead character, Maxpein Zin Del Valle, the love interest of Deib Lohr Enrile, Donny Pangilinan’s character. This catapulted her to stardom, paving the way to other projects like their launching movie, “Love is Color Blind”, the top grosser of 2021, and a season 2 for “He’s Into Her” which still trends and is widely talked about online. She also released, Daylight, her first album and a sold-out concert of the same title. Belle is on her way to being this generation’s superstar with her talent going over and beyond acting to include dancing and singing. No wonder, she is slowly becoming a much sought after endorser, as well.
New Gen Leading Man
Donny Pangilinan is a scion of a showbiz family- an action star for a grandfather, an in-demand leading lady for a grandmother, a beauty queen for an aunt, an actress/host for a mother, and that is just on his maternal side. His father’s side is a whole gamut of personalities and stars, as well. As a child, he first appeared in a Koko Krunch commercial with his Mom. After that, he grew up in the limelight without being an active part of it until he got his mother’s nod for him to start dabbling in a bit of hosting and attending weekend workshops. He has a slew of movies and shows to his name from “Walwal” to “James, Pat, and Dave”. He is also quite the heartthrob even way back in 2016 especially as he became a MYX VJ, a product endorser, and a music recording artist.
Just when everything slowed down during the pandemic, Donny’s career even reached greater heights as he starred as Deib Lohr Enrile in “He’s Into Her”. It seems like the role was tailored fit as he shared some of the same background as his alter ego, Deib, a basketball varsity from a rich family studying in an international school. Is he not the perfect fit? Since it aired last year, Donny has been scaling to higher ground with his love team as they starred with the highest grossing film of 2021, “Love is Color Blind” and a new season of “He’s Into Her” after its maiden season broke records and even the IwantTFC app. There is just no slowing down for Donny as he has a line-up of projects for the months to come. With his Adonis looks, toned physique, and improving acting chops, he is well poised to be the next top leading man.
